East Lothian Council adopts Risk Based Verification for its Benefit Service

Xantura is delighted to announce that East Lothian Council has chosen to adopt its risk based verification predictive model to increase fraud and error detection.

The risk model, which is fully integrated into the innovative Capita Risk and Verification Portal, has been developed collaboratively between Xantura and Capita over the last few months. It is designed to identify the likelihood that a Housing and / or Council Tax Benefit claim will result in fraud and / or error, whilst at the same time delivering significant processing efficiencies.

John Cunningham, Benefits Manager at East Lothian Council said:

"We are well aware of Xantura's capability in terms of leading high profile and high impact data analytics projects. This capability in conjunction with the delivery record of our software partner, Capita, gives us tremendous confidence in becoming a more efficient and effective benefits service.

The reason that we chose this solution is our confidence in the development and support offered by both organisations in helping us meet our objectives now and into the future".

East Lothian Council join a significant number of recent risk based verification adopters from across England, Scotland and Wales.
