Products - XTP - Architecture Summary



The purpose of the Xantura Technology Platform (XTP) is to drive improved efficiencies through improved collaboration and partnership working.  The XTP delivers these efficiencies by driving improved intelligence to front line operational teams as well as to strategy and planning teams.

The XTP is an Information Commissioner approved platform, delivered as a fully hosted, secure, cloud based solution that requires a very minimal technology footprint at client sites.

The platform delivers improved intelligence by consolidating and enriching data provided from different service teams, from across organisations.

Once data has been matched and enriched, sharing of the resulting data and derived intelligence is strictly controlled through discrete Data Sharing Protocols defined at individual field level by data owners.

Access to this intelligence can occur either through the integration of existing applications into the XTP platform (using secure SOAP/WSDL web services) or through Xantura’s secure web applications.

The diagram below provides a technical overview of the XTP data centre.  Hypervisor virtualisation services are delivered using the VMWare ESX product. 

The data centre is regularly security audited (full penetration testing) by an external accredited agency and network security policies include:

  • IT health checks every 12 months
  • Multiple (different) EAL4 accredited firewalls are installed at the XTP data centre
  • Firewalls configured with Unified Threat Management
