By combining the insight contained within local authority data sets (such as council tax, business rates, sundry income, parking fines and housing benefit overpayments), the MatchMaker SVOD service allows local authorities to safeguard and increase revenue collection, with the added benefit of protecting citizens that want to address their debts.

What we offer

The MatchMaker SVOD service is a fully hosted and secure managed service.  The service uses sophisticated data matching models to determine the likelihood that a record in one or multiple batch extract files is the same entity.

A typical data matching exercise takes ten working days from agreeing the data scope of the exercise (e.g. Council Tax, Business Rates, Sundry Debts, Housing Rents, Parking and Housing Benefit Overpayments) to the delivery of the final matched output.

The data matching that we undertake delivers the following specific benefits based on the data that already exists across multiple internal databases:

  • identifies and eliminates duplicate debt records (gets clean);
  • prevents the creation of new duplicate debt records (keeps clean);
  • facilitates the linking of debt records within databases and across multiple databases;

In summary, our SVOD solution provides a simple and effective way for Local Authorities to establish the financial status and vulnerability of their citizens.

The solution is deployed on a 'Cloud' computing basis at a data centre that is being accredited to sit on the secure GovConnect network.  Because of this approach the solution does not require a big technology integration / implementation project at client sites and can be implemented in a few months.
